good afternoon, dear judges. today my speech is “i love black-faced spoonbill.
on a beautiful winter day, i happened to meet the lovely spirit——
black faced spoonbill, a type of migratory bird, which spends winter at hong-shu-lin in my city every year. covered with snow-white feathers, it has black legs and a black beak. besides the blacks and whites, an amazing splash of yellow is under its neck. so elegant that i couldn’t help loving it at first sight.
with a big and spoon-shaped beak, it can clasp fishes easily, which makes it a powerful hunter in birds.
however, with human expansion and pollution, only around 2000 ones are living all over the world.
like the eleven swan princes in andersen’s fairy tale, the black faced spoonbills have always been struggling to find a tiny rock which can offer them a momentary tranquility. fortunately, they have found one in my beloved home. i would always hold them dearly to my heart and wish they would return with flocks of chicks in the following years, and singing……

hi, everyone, my name is jia ruxin. i am from shijiazhuang and in grade 5. today my topic is “ my sweet home”.
there is an old saying “east and west, home is best.” so, we can see how important home is to everybody. i’ve got a sweet home because it is cozy. my family lives in a flat. the sitting room is the biggest and my room is the smallest, but it is a world of my own. the wall is white, the curtain is pretty, the bed is comfortable and the bookshelf is filled with different kinds of books. in the right hand corner is the zheng, a traditional chinese musical instrument, and on the table is the computer. when i feel tired, i can play computer games; and when i feel depressed, playing the zheng can cheer me up. this is my sweet home, where i can find peace and comfort.
i’ve got a sweet home because it is full of love. my dad loves me. he is kind and patient. it is my dad who watches outlook english magazine with me; it is also my dad who is ready to answer my questions. my mom loves me, too. she is considerate and hardworking. every day when i go home from school, the rooms are always clean and tidy. every time when i play out and forget dinnertime, it is also my mom who calls me back with her tender voice, “come home, my little darling, dinner is ready”.

secondly, a good students should learn as much as possible. so a good student always tries to learn from both text-books and other books. besides reading, doing some sports and manual works. however, we can’t always study alone, sometimes you need a discussion, don’t forget to work hard with your friends, it will be great help to you.

computers play an important role in the modern world. today they are used in many areas of human activities, such as business, industry, science and education. im a primary school student. i always search for information on my pc, make ppt or type article with word software and sometimes listen to music, play games on the computer in the weekends. sometimes i write e-mails to my friends on the computer, too. i often chat with people on-line. i usually do my homework on the computer, too, its very easy.
i also enjoying watching cartoons on-line, because i can find my favorite cartoons easily, when i watching tv, i should wait the advertisement and watch the cartoons on time. but in computer, i can watch my favorite cartoons any time, and neednt wait for advertisements.i seldom buy things on the computer, because i dont know it. i sometimes go to the forums on the weekends, there are many people, and its very interesting.

there are many beautiful trips keep in my heart, but the most unforgettable good trip is in 20xx, i went to hangzhou to join in "national competition for king of story ", by the way to there, i went to a old town - wuzhen, and a well known beautiful lake - west lake. especially, i had a exciting wu pengchuan ride on wuzhen lake, sit down in it, just extend your hand, you can enjoy a cool summer in this clear lake. we
all didnt want to go home because the view is so beautiful, and thereare so many other exciting things to try, but sadly it was time for us to go. it was definitely an exciting trip.if i have a chance to go there again, i will be more than happy to visit the place.
a little ant was born in a quite small cave. it grew up without meeting any danger,because his mother had always keep him inside the cave.unluckily ,one day,his mother died while looking for food for him.he was hungry to death.after careful consideration,he decided to go out for the hope of fulfil his stomach.again he was unlucky,for a spider found him and captured him.our little ant thought it was the last day of his life,but the spider said he wanted to play a game with him.if the ant could win,he could be set free. so the ant played chess with the spider.the rules are fair because the spider was quite kind. at last ,the ant won.so he returned to home safe and sound!

in this peaceful era, our life paths seem to be already well-planned and determined. what we have to do is to follow. yes, we may face different sorts of challenges, but at least they are less harsh when compared to those in the past. we do not need to worry about starving to death, or how to earn enough money to buy food for our siblings and sustain our lives.
it is like drivingfroma muddy road into a highway. in the muddy road, path, you would say, as it is formed only by crossing on it many times, flattening the ground to form a smoother area so we can pass. the road is so bumpy and rough, with holes here and there and rocks lying all over. when we drive along this road, we have to be very careful, having a firm grip on the steering wheel, ready for a sudden turn or a large boulder that may appear any second. however, when we drive on a highway, everything becomes different. the road is smooth, straight, and visible. since there is no unseen obstacle, we may lower our guard, relax a bit, and loosen our grip on the steering wheel. one may even think, if we only have to drive on a smooth straight road like this highway, why would we need a steering wheel?
