电影分为了四个部分，以士兵、美军、炮队、桥四个视角完美展现了志愿军战士们护送大部队过河时惊心动魄的一晚，炸掉一段桥就立刻修桥，不耽误每分每秒，在这次战争中幸存下来的美军空战人员，感慨道：“太不可思议了，他们三个小时就修好了桥，美国人需要三天!”。我们牺牲了无数士兵，他们每个人都用血肉之躯发光发热，我每每想到此处，都是无尽的心疼。同样让我印象深刻的是炮队，在漆黑的夜晚点燃火把，吸引敌机注意，甘愿自我牺牲，只是因为大部队正在桥上通过。排长张飞被炸弹打中，只剩一条胳膊，一条腿，却依然在奄奄一息的情况下，强撑着一口气，成功打落一架敌机，他们都是年轻人，甚至还有小孩子，我不敢想象在当时的混乱之中我自己该怎么办，是手足无措，还是临阵脱逃。
