从上次回老家到现在，我已经几乎有一年的时间没回老家了。在姥姥、姥爷家，我陪妹妹搭乐高、做游戏、教她认字、背诗。我还是姥姥姥爷的厨房小助手，当小助手，我感受到做饭真的不容易。我觉得最有意义的事就是每天都跟姥爷聊聊学校的饭菜好不好吃，在学校里发生的趣事，在学习上遇到的挫折及成就等。
姥姥姥爷每年夏天都去门口的池塘看荷花，今年我回来了，即使是秋天，但他们还是让我陪他们看了荷花，出了家门口，再走过一座浮桥，就到荷花池了。可是，我往那儿一看，原有两大片荷花只有一两朵正在盛开，还有几个花骨朵儿含苞待放，我非常失望，“哪有荷花嘛，不就是一大片荷叶和绿莲蓬嘛，那怎么办呀，都来了”。姥爷笑着说：“没关系，既然荷花都谢了，那不去让我给你讲一讲夏天荷花盛开的情景吧!”
