5月1日那天，由于爸爸、妈妈都要加班，没人照看我们。
我和我的弟弟就到了外婆家。外婆见我们来了就对我说：“彩鸿，今天是五一节。我们包一些粉果来吃，好吗?”我说：“好啊。”于是，外婆找来了面粉、花生米、芝麻、糖等包粉果的材料。首先她用面粉、糖和着水做了一个大面团，作为粉果皮的材料，我在旁边一边看一边学。外婆边做边说：“包粉果要分四个步骤进行：一是和粉，二是拌馅儿，三是擀皮，四是包粉果。现在我们做的是第一步：和粉。”和完粉，外婆先把花生米、芝麻等放在锅里炒香、掏碎，然后和砂糖放在一起混合拌成馅儿。
做完了第一步和第二步，外婆就拿出一根擀面杖，让我来擀皮。我起初以为擀皮很容易，就高兴地拿起擀面杖开始擀皮，可是那一团面粉就像一个淘气的宝贝，不管我怎么样擀，它总粘着擀面杖。
我有点生气了，外婆见了笑着说：“宝贝，别心急，你先在擀面杖上放一些油，再来擀就不会粘了，在擀的时候用力要均匀。”她边说边示范，看着她熟练地示范着，我心想：也不是很难啊，我一定要把它学会。我接过擀面杖学着外婆的样子慢慢地来擀，奇怪了这回面团像个听话的宝贝。我心里非常高兴——我终于学会了擀皮了。
我看着外婆正熟练地包着粉果，我也想学一学。我拿起一块皮儿就学起外婆的样子去包。可包了几只，不是形状不好看就是皮破了馅儿掉得满地都是。我有点不耐烦了，外婆看见了过来手把手地教我包，只见外婆熟练地先把馅儿放在粉果皮上，然后对折，再用手指轻轻地一推一捏。
不一会儿，一个漂亮的粉果就做成了。我在外婆的指导下慢慢地一推一捏，果然，做出来的粉果也像个样儿了。吃着香喷喷的粉果，我心里别提有多高兴，因为这个五一节过得非常有意义。我不光学会了做粉果，还懂得：要想做好一件事情就不要心急，要有耐性。

既然动手了，那就要做好，于是我半弯着腰，把马桶刷洗了一遍。想到另一间卫生间的马桶也得刷一下，于是又起身往另一间卫生间去。
等到我把两个马桶刷好，顺便把卫生间地上的头发丝清洗一遍之后，我发现起身的时候腰背有点酸痛。
看似不起眼的活，我居然干了大半小时，我抬头看看窗玻璃，再看看茶几与地板，如果我要把这些都清洗一遍的话，那还有力气去跑步跳绳吗？

在这个仅有30天的假期里，我读了不少中外名著，如：《鲁滨孙漂流记》、《海底两万里》、《福尔摩斯探案集》、《城南旧事》等。其中，《城南旧事》不禁让我想起了我的童年，所有事情都历历在目，就像发生在昨天一样。这本书其实就好似100阶楼梯，每往上走一步，就像踩到了记忆的按钮，想到的全是童年的“脚印”，听到的全是童年稚嫩的“音符”。
当读到“我不懂的事就要问一问”时，我想起了我的一位玩伴：她总是喜欢问为什么，而我们呢又得给她解答，答完了又问……就这样，我们总是向“英子的妈妈”一样，回复她一句：“总是问，总是问。你不能自己去学习吗?”这样以来，总惹的我们失去玩乐的兴趣，她自己也再无兴趣玩下去了。又当读到“怕什么，她又不吃人”时，便让我想起了我自己的经历：我小的时候非常胆大，真可谓什么也不怕。有一次走在路上，我看见一个黄蜂窝，我想都没想变伸手去摸。幸好没有黄蜂，否则可就惨了。读到……这样例子太多了，就恐怕说上三天三夜，也不一定说得完。
而在上一学期，我们学了《城南旧事》的作者英子，也就是林海英描写了她儿时对读书的渴望，才成就了我们去知道她的故事，从而回忆起以前的事情。这或许就是一些人读书的一个原因吧!语文园地里也让我们学了不少有关读书的名言诗句。
